Our Purpose:
Our purpose is to glorify God through athletic competition. It is our desire that Jesus Christ be expressed and glorified in the lives of coaches, parents and students not only in actions, but also in words and deeds.

Our Goal:
Our goal is to give home schooling families the opportunity to participate in competitive athletics. We have chosen to be a competitive program because we believe that athletic competition is an opportunity for students to learn to persevere under trial.

Our Team Leaders:
Dana Padula will be coaching our competitive girls volleyball team this season. You may contact Dana if you have questions: dpadula@verizon.net . Assisting Dana coaching is Michelle Kinningham. Wendy Andrews is responsible for publications and administratively supporting the team. Susan Kinningham is coordinating fundraising and the GCHE Board is offering guidance and counsel.
Eligibility: (all ages are as of September 1 in the year of participation)
- Student has not reached 13 years of age for 5-6th grade competition
- Student has not reached 15 years of age for 7-8th grade competition
- Students must be currently home educated, with less than half of their courses being taken outside the home (i.e. dual credit courses, labs, private tutoring, etc.)
***ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE MEMBERS OF GEORGETOWN CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS---GCHE will have an Orientation Meeting on the 1st Monday of the month, 7:00 PM at Main Street Baptist Church. Everyone will need to attend and renew their membership***
Practices and Games:
Practices are held twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 2:00-3:30 at the Georgetown Recreation Center. Weekly games will be scheduled with local Christian Schools.

Sports Physical:
Dr. Voss has offered to give free physicals to those whose medical insurance does not cover the expense. To protect your children, the Board is asking that we take this extra measure to ensure the safety of our kids. You can contact Dr. Voss directly, if you are in need of his services. Physical forms are due August 15th.
